All Ceramic
Sustainable ceramics made in Montréal - All the pieces are handmade by Cybèle in her small pink garage studio in Montréal, Québec. She uses a locally produced red earthenware clay that contains claystone from Gaspésie. In addition to using local raw materials, working with earthenware requires less energy to fire and have a smaller carbon footprint than porcelain and stoneware.
A modern body of work inspired by heritage - Cybèle B. Pilon's designs are the result of infinite variations of a single pattern. She draws her inspiration from her French Canadian material culture (quilts, visual archives, built heritage, folk art objects, etc.) and transposes the pattern found on her contemporary ceramics with a water etching technique.
All the ceramics are sold out? I purposely keep my production very small to be able to experiment while producing original and high end quality colorful handmade ceramics. My ceramics are sold periodically on this site and the best way to never miss a drop is to subscribe to my newsletter. You're viewing 1-3 of 3 products
